Postdoctoral Fellowship in Private Practice in Dallas

Description: I am a counseling psychologist in private practice located in Dallas, TX and I’m offering one postdoctoral position for the next academic year. Although I enjoy working with a variety of people, I specialize in working with children, women in transition, and men experiencing anxiety. I also offer faith integration for clients who desire that approach. I utilize a combination of relational and cognitive behavioral therapy methods. Fellows interested in these areas are encouraged to apply; however, fellows are also encouraged to bring their own unique specialties to expand what the practice can offer to the community. This Postdoctoral Fellowship in Private Practice is intended to provide the postdoctoral fellow with an opportunity for direct clinical service, regular professional supervision, and mentorship in practice building. This is a 1099 contract position. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in psychology from an APA accredited program and have completed an APA accredited predoctoral internship prior to beginning this postdoctoral fellowship. The primary responsibility of the fellow is to provide quality psychotherapy services to clients. In addition to psychotherapy, the fellow will be expected to engage in individual supervision, practice building activities, and maintain all required documentation of the postdoctoral experience. Applicants who value growth, excellence, collaboration, and taking initiative would thrive in this fellowship. Fellows have autonomy of their schedules, within the required 40-hour per week minimum. My practice has established referral sources, online marketing, and accepts insurance. I will be the supervisor for the fellow and I have many years of experience providing psychotherapy and have former experience being a training director for a group practice in Illinois. Applicants for this position are invited to submit a cover letter expressing their interest in this position, vitae, and two letters of reference (including at least one from a predoctoral internship supervisor). Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled. For questions about this position, please call Dr. Sahl at 972.757.4929.
