1 Year Postdoctoral Fellowship In Clinical Psychology

Description: Fellowship in Clinical Psychology – University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center /OUHSC Description: Applications are invited for full-time 12-month postdoctoral fellowship positions in the Integrated Behavioral Services for Underserved Populations program funded by the Health Research and Services Administration (HRSA). The fellows will be part of an APA accredited clinical psychology fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC), conducted in collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics, the Center on Child Abuse and Neglect, and VA Medical Center. The training is designed to prepare psychology trainees to provide evidence-based services in primary care settings to underserved children, adults, and families. The fellowship offers a variety of interdisciplinary didactic and clinical experiences that integrate behavioral and primary care services. The fellows participate in the Interdisciplinary Training Program in Child Abuse and Neglect (ITP); learn evidence-based treatment for maltreated children and at-risk families, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing; complete clinical practice at primary care settings, and participate in research. The clinical placement options include a VA primary Care Clinic; the Fostering Hope Clinic, a health clinic for children in foster care; the Variety Health Clinic, a community based clinic; an Indian Health Service Clinic, and for Spanish speaking trainees, the Latino Clinic, a primary care clinic for Spanish-speaking families.
