Pediatric Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowships

Description: Pending final Notice of Award from the National Institutes of Health, the Center for Health Care Delivery Science (CHDS) at Nemours Children’s Health System anticipates the availability of two 2-year Postdoctoral Fellowships in Pediatric Psychology, starting in summer or fall, 2017. One position will be located at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida and the other will be at Nemours-Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. Applicants may apply for either or both of these positions. Interviews will be arranged only after the NIH Notice of Award is received. The Center for Health Care Delivery Science is co-directed by Tim Wysocki, PhD, ABPP and Anne E. Kazak, PhD, ABPP. Health care delivery science is the application of scientific methods and principles to the analysis of variables and processes that affect the delivery, safety, outcomes, cost, quality and value of pediatric health care. Nemours has invested generously in the center’s activities and several substantial multidisciplinary research initiatives are in progress. The Fellows’ primary role will be service as members of Transdisciplinary Care Teams along with nurse practitioners and dietitians who will train each other in their respective professional disciplines and co-manage adolescents with type 1 diabetes. The Fellows will receive research mentoring from Dr. Wysocki, and clinical supervision from Dr. Jennifer Shroff Pendley and Dr. Julia Price in Delaware, and Dr. Jessica Pierce in Florida. The Fellows will collaborate with other multidisciplinary investigators from throughout Nemours Children’s Health System in the Delaware Valley and Florida. The Fellows will be expected to develop their own research projects and will receive mentored guidance in the preparation of manuscripts and development of grant proposals. The Fellows will also be able to contribute actively to the planning, implementation and dissemination of other ongoing studies. The Fellow will deliver supervised clinical service sufficient to meet licensure requirements in Delaware, Florida and other states and will also participate in training opportunities with Fellows at other Nemours sites.
