2026 APPIC Match Statistics - Phase II

This report provides statistics and information about Phase II of the 2026 APPIC Match and the submission of applications via the AAPI service in Phase II. Additional statistics may be found in the report of the combined results for Phases I and II of the 2026 APPIC Match.
A total of 406 applicants matched to internship positions in Phase II, while 421 remained unmatched and 322 withdrew or did not submit rankings. A total of 59 positions remained unfilled at the conclusion of Phase II, with 26 (44%) located in accredited programs.
As compared to last year, there was an increase in the number of students who were registered for and eligible to participate in Phase II (1,149 vs. 1,048 last year, up 10%) and a decrease in the number of positions available in Phase II (465 vs. 496 last year, down 6%).
