Each August, APPIC holds a meeting for members to learn about the organization's activities over the prior year, including updates on our membership conference, the Match, postdoctoral training, finances, committee initiatives, and much more.   

Historically, this meeting has been called the “Annual Business Meeting.” Over the past year, the APPIC Board of Directors has discussed the potential for that title to unintentionally suggest a focus on internal matters or Board business rather than topics relevant to the broader APPIC community.  Our goal is to ensure that APPIC Member Programs and Doctoral Program Associates (DPAs) recognize that this meeting is designed for them. To better reflect that purpose, the APPIC Board of Directors has renamed the meeting the APPIC Member and DPA Annual Meeting. We hope that this change more clearly communicates that this meeting is for Training Directors, Supervisors, Directors of Clinical Training, as well as for our liaisons and organizational partners. 

The 2026 APPIC Member and DPA Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, 2 – 3:50 PM EDT via Zoom (please find link below).  We have found that using a virtual format increases accessibility and participation across our membership.  We also plan on recording the meeting for those who are unable to attend.  During the meeting, APPIC leadership will provide important updates on organizational activities, including reports from the Board of Directors, the Executive Director, and APPIC Professional Staff.
