Specializing in eating disorder treatment and OCD, Birch Tree Psychotherapy provides outpatient therapy to adults, couples, youth, & families in Chicago and the Northwest Chicago Suburbs. We have offices located in the Chicago Loop and South Barrington, IL. Within an intersectional feminist, Health at Every Size (HAES) framework, we use research-informed treatment approaches such as Intuitive Eating, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal-Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Family Therapies.

The post-doctoral fellowship position is a 2 year position. Within a generalist framework, trainees will learn specific skills for assessing and treating clients with various eating pathologies in an outpatient setting. Trainees will have opportunities to facilitate groups on Intuitive Eating, the Accept Yourself program, intuitive movement, and meal support. Trainees will work with clients across age groups. Trainees must have significant interest and experience in treating clients with eating disorders. This post-doctoral fellowship position is for a W-2 employee whose stipend is 50% of billing. Benefits include: IAEDP-approved supervision toward eating disorder certification hours (CEDS), consultation group, hybrid schedule with ample flexibility, health insurance, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, print and digital marketing, company email address, use of beautiful offices in downtown Chicago and the Chicago Suburbs, access to HIPPAA-compliant telehealth platform, access to a group therapy space, electronic health record system (scheduling, charts, notes, etc.), full billing support, telehealth platforms that are HIPAA compliant for individuals, couples, and groups, continuing education stipend. Consistent referrals are available. Opportunities to remain on-staff as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
Research opportunities
Trainees have the opportunity to collaborate for professional presentations and treatment outcome evaluations.
