Behavioral Health Dallas, PLLC is offering one full-time Post-Doctoral Fellowship position for the 2026-2027 academic year in the area of Women’s and Infant Mental Health. BHD seeks applicants who are interested in providing behavioral health and psychological services in the private practice setting. Duties and responsibilities include (1) providing both brief and longer-term outpatient therapy (2) collaborating and consulting with physicians and (3) facilitating support and psycho-educational workshops. This position offers opportunities to collaborate with a large and growing team including psychologists, counselors and a psychiatrist with collective expertise in women’s health, maternal-infant mental health, pediatric psychology and couple therapy. Our practice works both in a telehealth and in-person capacity. Upon successful completion of the fellowship, a long-term position may be offered. This position will be supervised by Drs. Katie Sardone and Margaret Vadiee.
Behavioral Health Dallas, PLLC is a private practice in Dallas, Texas located across the street from Texas Health Resources at Walnut Hill and 75. BHD specializes in providing evidence based, insight-oriented, and supportive mental health care for women and everyone in their family. A large percentage of patients at BHD are women’s health referrals directly from medical providers (e.g., perinatal mood disorders, infertility, and birth-trauma). In recent years, the pediatric population at BHD has been growing rapidly. In order to better serve these families, we have expanded our pediatric and parenting services to include evidence-based Infant Mental Health and pediatric services from 0-18 years of age. In addition to working with this population, the fellow would have the opportunity to work with both men and women in various health and general mental health capacities (e.g., mood and anxiety management, life adjustment, chronic illness management and family dynamic challenges).
Requirements for the position include: (1) Graduation from an APA-accredited doctoral program with an emphasis in clinical or counseling psychology (2) successful completion of an APA-accredited internship program with demonstrated competence in clinical and/or counseling by the start date of the fellowship (estimated to start in September 2026) and (3) preferred experience or interest in working with Women’s and Infant Mental Health.
Compensation
A salary of $50,000 will be offered for a full-time postdoctoral position. Compensation is commensurate with local competitive postdoctoral salaries.
