Baptist Behavioral Health, in affiliation with Baptist Medical Center, Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Wolfson Children's Hospital, is accepting applications for a one-year, full-time Clinical Health Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship. Baptist Health is a not-for-profit health system comprised of five nationally accredited hospitals with more than 1,400 beds across Northeast Florida. Our Behavioral Health department provides the full continuum of mental health services across outpatient, inpatient, and crisis management settings.

Psychologists are integrated throughout the health system, including primary care, oncology and hematology, neurology, emergency medicine, bariatric and weight management services, maternal health, and other specialty medical settings. The fellowship is designed to prepare future practitioners to deliver high-quality psychological services within an integrated healthcare system. Fellows receive specialized training through a variety of clinical experiences and rotations, including consultation-liaison psychology, bariatric psychology, integrated weight management, and psycho-oncology through the Baptist MD Anderson Psychology Rotation. These experiences provide exposure to interdisciplinary care of patients managing complex medical and behavioral health concerns. Fellows work with patients across the lifespan presenting with a broad range of diagnoses, including mood disorders, severe mental illness (SMI), neurocognitive impairments, adjustment to medical illness, eating and weight-related concerns, and cancer-related distress. The fellow functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation therapists, mental health counselors, and clinical social workers.

The Clinical Health Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship is intended for individuals who have successfully completed their doctoral internship, defended their dissertation, and earned a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program prior to the start of training. Preference is given to applicants who have completed an APA-accredited internship and have prior training in medical or integrated healthcare settings, although relevant professional experience will also be considered

Additional Comments: Eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens who have successfully completed a clinical internship and been conferred a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology before the anticipated start date.
