Please consider joining us in Boston 😊
The Center for Anxiety & Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University (BU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position in the delivery of clinical services within a thriving university-affiliated outpatient clinic. CARD is a unique setting in that it is hosted at Boston University, and so is able to offer access to a wealth of postdoctoral training with a typical postdoc cohort size of 3-4 scholars. Training opportunities can be tailored to the applicant’s specific interests. CARD postdoctoral clinicians deliver individual and group modalities of CBT (including mindfulness and ACT-based interventions) to an outpatient population that includes adult patients or a specialty in child/adolescent services. Services are currently being delivered in a hybrid combination of in-person and/or telehealth zoom modalities, based on patient and clinician preference. Common presenting problems include the full range of anxiety disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety, social anxiety, Panic Disorder/Agoraphobia, etc.), OCD, unipolar depression, pain, and other related disorders. Advanced training in neuropsychological assessment is also an available option. Because CARD is affiliated with Boston University, there is also opportunity to get involved with other facets of clinical psychology including training in the delivery of clinical supervision to PhD and PsyD graduate students, and psychiatric residents. The Center additionally provides the option to gain exposure to administrative management of an outpatient clinic. Participation within NIMH-funded treatment outcome studies is also an option. The position will provide sufficient postdoctoral clinical service hours and supervision necessary for licensure in the state of Massachusetts. Upon completion of two postdoctoral fellowship years, promotion to Clinical Assistant Professor within the Clinical Psychology Program at BU may be available. Applicants should have completed their doctoral degree by the start of employment. The cultural and social diversity of our faculty, staff, and students is vitally important to the excellence of our research and clinical programs. Thus, we are especially eager to recruit a Postdoctoral Associate who supports our institutional commitment to ensuring BU is inclusive, equitable, and diverse.
