We are looking for a passionate, innovative, and team-oriented postdoctoral resident to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of mental health care.
As a postdoctoral resident at MHCA, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing comprehensive, individualized care. Our holistic, strengths-based approach, coupled with our multidisciplinary team, ensures that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan to meet their needs and promote long-term wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Comprehensive Assessment: Conduct in-depth intake diagnostic assessments to evaluate patients' functioning in areas such as behavior, social skills, mood, affect, and cognitive processing.
2. Diagnostic Summary Creation: Utilize a biopsychosocial framework to generate a thorough and individualized diagnostic summary, considering the unique factors influencing each patient’s mental health.
3. Individualized Treatment Planning: Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop strengths-based, individualized treatment plans aimed at meeting patients where they are and supporting them in achieving long-term mental health goals.
4. Psychological Testing: Administer comprehensive psychological evaluations, including ADHD and Autism assessments, and integrate findings into the overall treatment plan.
5. Evidence-Based Psychotherapy: Provide solution-focused, evidence-based psychotherapy to patients with diverse needs, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and more.
6. Collaboration & Supervision: Work closely with the Clinical Director and a team of interdisciplinary mental health professionals, participate in individual supervision with a licensed psychologist, and contribute to the overall care team’s goals.
7. Electronic Health Records: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in MHCA’s EHR system, adhering to all record-keeping guidelines.

MUST HAVES:
Met all necessary prerequisites to qualify for post-doctoral training in psychology including successfully completing APA doctoral level psychology internship.
Ability to work regularly scheduled work hours
Represent MHCA in the health care community and general public in a professional manner.
Graduated from an APA accredited doctoral psychology program (PsyD or PhD)
HELPS TO HAVE:
Psychological assessment experience in a medical health care setting.
2-5 years’ experience providing psychological services.
2 -3 references from current and/or previous supervisors.
Ability to accept and apply feedback.
Ability to adapt responsibilities in support of the clinical development of a growing multidisciplinary mental health clinic.
