We are excited to bring on a Post-Doc who is passionate about early childhood work and parent/family involvement. Our ideal candidate is someone who truly loves working with young children and feels equally comfortable working with parents and families. Data shows that real progress happens when families are part of the process. This is not a drop-off model—parents are involved in everything we do. This person should be comfortable conceptualizing treatment as a family process and flexible and willing to work with parents to support the best treatment outcomes. In sum, this person should see parents as allies - and integral to facilitating skill use. Furthermore, our ideal candidate embodies humor, quick wit, and a curious nature coupled with an organized, analytic mind.
Responsibilities
Provide individual therapy to clients, utilizing effective therapeutic techniques and interventions to address a wide range of mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, OCD, and other related conditions. Ongoing support and training provided to address any gaps in experience/knowledge.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, pediatricians, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure coordinated and integrated care for clients.
Actively participate in professional development activities, including attending conferences, workshops and trainings, to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. Generous annual training budget provided for all employees.
Attend weekly group supervision and individual supervision.
Training, Education and Support
We lead the pack with cutting edge treatments and our reputation, as a practice dedicated to gold standard treatments, allows us to operate at the highest level. Our clinicians are masters of all treatments that work and we are always pushing to learn more to better ourselves and our clients-no settling.During the first year tenure at the practice, employees attend weekly intensive small group training on OC spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, phobias, ADHD, family therapy, to name a few. We bring in experts/scientists, regularly, to train our entire group, as we are all lifelong learners. During the last six months we hosted training on Developing Assessment Practices to Know When it’s ADHD (and When it’s Not), transgender letter writing, SPACE training and Family Based Treatment for eating disorder/disordered eating treatment at an outpatient level (FBT). In addition, a hefty training budget allows employees to customize their training opportunities to build their own fingerprint as a therapist.
