William James College is pleased to announce two postdoctoral training opportunities in child and family forensic psychology in Juvenile Court Clinics. There is one fellowship position available in the Suffolk County Juvenile Court Clinic and one fellowship position in the Norfolk County Juvenile Court Clinic. Juvenile Court Clinic Operations (JCCO) provides forensic evaluations and other services for court-ordered juveniles and families before the Juvenile Court in Care and Protection cases (child protection from abuse/neglect), Juvenile Delinquency and Youthful Offender cases, Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) cases, emergency commitments for substance abuse treatment or inpatient psychiatric care, and other court-ordered evaluations. Divorce cases are not heard by Juvenile Courts in Massachusetts. The fellowship offers supervised training and experience in forensic assessment and consultation at the Suffolk and Norfolk Juvenile Court Clinics under the direction of JCCO Program Director, Pooja Khialani, PsyD. Fellows will participate in various seminar and other learning activities offered through the Boston Juvenile Court Clinic, MA Department of Mental Health, and William James College. Fellows will have completed 2100 training hours by the end of the fellowship year.
