This is a one-year position designed to provide specialized training in the assessment/diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders. The Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD) provides a broad array of services to the community including developmental and behavioral pediatrics, nursing, speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy, psychology, social work, educational diagnostics, and audiology. The fellow will participate with interdisciplinary teams several times a week in addition to conducting individual assessments (to identify developmental disabilities, academic/learning disabilities, ADHD, and ASD (including use of ADOS-2). Additional opportunity for therapeutic interventions is available based upon interest. Additionally, fellows will have the opportunity to gain additional expertise through the Iowa Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program.
