The MGH Lurie Center for Autism seeks up to two full-time, one-year postdoctoral fellowship candidates in neuropsychological assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Successful fellows may have an opportunity to extend their fellowship into a second year. The fellowship is a joint position through the MGH Lurie Center for Autism and Aspire programs in Lexington, Massachusetts. Postdoctoral fellows hold clinical fellow appointments at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children – Lurie Center and Harvard Medical School.
The Lurie Center is a multidisciplinary program designed to evaluate and treat children, adolescents, and adults—providing expertise in neurology, developmental pediatrics, gastroenterology, psychiatry, psychology, psychopharmacology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech language pathology. MGH Aspire helps children, teens, and adults with high cognitive autism spectrum disorder or a related social profile make social connections and develop independence. Interventions include intensive camp programs, social groups, internship programs and consultation and training. Postdoctoral fellows will work within the Lurie Center multidisciplinary team to complete diagnostic and neuropsychological assessments, under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist. They will also have the opportunity to provide social skills programming, outpatient individual, group, and family therapy as well as school and family consultation services.
All postdoctoral fellows will participate in a variety of training and supervision experiences including: weekly supervision, seminars, rounds, and other didactic experiences available at the Lurie Center and MGH. Opportunities for research may also be available for highly motivated applicants. Successful fellows may have an opportunity to extend their fellowship into a second year and/or apply for junior faculty positions within the Lurie Center.
Strong neuropsychological testing experience and prior training in the assessment of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (including the ADOS) is preferred. Fellowship start date is scheduled for September 1, 2025 (may be negotiable). Applicants must have a PhD/PsyD in Clinical or School Psychology. - Fellows receive competitive salary and benefits, including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, through Partners Healthcare. Salary may vary depending on years of experience. In addition to competitive salary and benefits, up to an additional $10,000 stipend may be available for moving, training, and other expenses.
- Research opportunities
- Research opportunities may be available for highly motivated applicants on various federally- and industry sponsored clinical trials, as well as intervention-focused research. Each fellow will be mentored to submit at least one scholarly paper for publication during the course of the year.

- The MGH Lurie Center now provides a combination of virtual and in-person care. We expect that incoming fellows will continue to have the opportunity for a combination of virtual and in-person clinical training experiences, though hospital policies continue to change with regard to virtual care.
