This team includes primary care sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurovestibular rehabilitation, neurosurgery, neuro-radiology, behavioral neuro-optometry, and physical therapy, including both musculoskeletal evaluations and sport-specific exertion therapy. The UPMC Sports Concussion Program provides outpatient treatment for pediatric and adult patients from a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. While approximately 80% are from the greater Pittsburgh/western Pennsylvania region, approximately 20% travel both nationally and internationally for treatment.
