The Michigan Medicine/VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System Clinical Psychology Consortium follows the scientist-practitioner model and emphasizes the training of future leaders in clinical service, research, and teaching in a rich interdisciplinary academic medical environment. All postdoctoral fellows participate in a core professional development curriculum, evidence-based clinical training, and focused mentored research in a range of areas including mood and related disorders (e.g., women's mental health); anxiety and related disorders (e.g., posttraumatic stress disorder); sleep disorders and health psychology; substance use disorders; psychotic disorders; primary care mental health integration; couples/family therapy; and mental health recovery. Fellows are assigned to a primary training site (Michigan Medicine or VA Ann Arbor) and develop individualized training plans with matched faculty mentors to determine the balance of clinical to research activity. Fellowships are for one year, but opportunities for a second year of training are available in the Michigan Medicine part of the Consortium. For the 2024-2025 training year, we anticipate acceptance of four fellows into the Consortium: 1 Michigan Medicine adult fellows, 2 VA Ann Arbor adult fellows, and 1 VA Ann Arbor adult women’s mental health fellow. Applicants will only be considered from APA- or CPA-accredited clinical or counseling PhD or PsyD programs and APA- or CPA-accredited predoctoral internships. All requirements of the graduate program need to be completed by 9/1/2025. Salaries range from $59540 (VAAAHS) to $66,342 (Michigan Medicine), depending on the fellow's primary site location.
