The Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Neuropsychology at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior aims to prepare clinician-scientists for careers in academic research and clinical applications within the specialty area of neuropsychology. The program offers training in a series of 10 tracks with clinician/educator and academic/research emphases, including: Clinical Neuropsychology Track (General), Clinical Neuropsychology Track (Pediatric)), Geropsychology-Neuropsychology Track, Clinical Neuropsychology of Trauma & Resilience Track, Clinical Neuropsychology of Sports Concussions and Head Injury Track, the MPAC – Neurodegeneration Track, the HNCE CNP Track, the Social Justice in the Criminal Neuropsychology at the HNCE Track, and the HNCE BASIC-T Track.

Additional fellows may be admitted into the Neuropsychology Research Track with funding independent of these offerings. All fellows, regardless of track, receive broad training and experience in both research and practice. All residents share an extensive curriculum of didactic and experiential offerings, and training programs are individually tailored to achieve specific goals considering the resident's prior competencies and experiences. Patient populations span all age groups, and both clinical applications and research projects target a diversity of neurologic, psychiatric, and general medical disorders. with integration across diverse departments and centers including: Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Neurology, Neurosurgery, the Brain Injury Research Center, and Ahmanson-Lovelace Brain Mapping Center at UCLA. Additional offerings are made possible through strong collaborations with centers of excellence off-campus, including The Help Group (with a focus on neurodevelopmental disabilities), and the Veterans Administration Greater Los Angeles Health Care System (VAGLAS, with a focus on HIV/AIDS and major mental illness.)
