Cira Center for Behavioral Health (CCBH) is a growing group practice located in Chicago's Loop and is looking to hire 2 full-time Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellows!

Core competencies required:

1) Clinical Work

  • Primary responsibilities will be in conducting intake assessments and providing individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy with the age and gender spectrum (~ 25 clients/week)
  • Competency to treat or open to treating (with supervision) individuals, children, adolescents, families, and couple
  • Due to COVID-19, all sessions are currently being conducted via Telehealth. However, the fellow will have the option to conduct virtual sessions from our Loop office. We expect to return to a hybrid (in-person and virtual) model as soon as it is safe to do so.
  • Once back in the office, willing to split their time at both of our Chicago and Oak Park (TBD).
  • An interest, experience, and/or basic knowledge about working with trauma survivors
  • Graduated with a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.
  • Willing to work at least 3 evenings OR 2 evenings and a Saturday or Sunday
  • Applicants who have experience in women’s issues/health and/or trauma and/or are EMDR trained will be given special consideration

2) Values Work:

  • White therapists are required to engage in personal and internal antiracism work by reading books, podcasts, etc.
  • White therapists are required to participate in external antiracism work, including training courses, both in- and out-of-house, and in team discussions
  • Participate in at least one of our antiracist quarterly initiatives. Recent initiatives have focused on voter suppression and engagement, supporting BIPOC-owned business during COVID, Black maternal health, and Asian Americans and mental health
  • Therapists of color will have the option to meet regularly with the other therapists of color on the team, but these meetings are optional

3) Teamwork

  • Identifies as a team player and problem solver.
  • Enjoys supervision, consultation, and collaboration.
  • Is active on Slack, our internal communications platform, reading and responding to teammates in a timely manner (for the most part, this replaces most email obligations)
  • Steps up for volunteer events/positions as necessary (Holiday Giving Campaign, Diversity Presentations, etc.)
  • Excited to get to know their teammates and spend time together at quarterly work social events
