Research opportunities
The Psychology Fellowship Program offers the option to complete a scholarly activity as part of their training. We view scholarship as an attribute of a psychologist as reflected in the Core Competencies in Clinical Psychology of scientific foundation/research and professional development. A scholarly activity might be be a core lecture presentation within the program, a lecture presented to one of the medical residency programs, or a thorough literature review on a topic related to the fellow's career aspirations. The project could also consist of a clinical trial or quality improvement activity that results in a poster or presentation at a regional or national conference. The supervisors and program director work with the fellows to develop their scholarly project and to ensure that the project supports the fellow's career goals. Fellows use research/administrative time for the development of their project.
