Postdoctoral Fellow

Description: Wellness 360, a private practice located in Dallas, TX, is offering one postdoctoral fellow position for the 2017-2018 year. Wellness 360 offers individual, couples, and group counseling for adults (18+). At Wellness 360 we take an intentional approach of examining all the factors that may be impacting our clients’ lives. We employ a holistic lens to collaboratively examine the different facets of self and how they intersect to reflect our client’s current sense of wellbeing. Our goal is to help clients discover the joys of connected living. This training experience will begin on a negotiable start-date around the first of September and will extend for 12 full months. This is a 1099 contract position. This position is offered to applicants who hold a doctoral degree in psychology from an APA accredited program and who have completed an APA accredited predoctoral internship prior to beginning this postdoctoral fellowship. We are looking for fellows with a career interest in private practice. Successful candidates for this position are ones who value their autonomy and are self-starters. Candidates have relative autonomy of their schedules, within the required 35-hour per week minimum, as per Texas licensure requirements. Candidates are expected to set a target caseload of 22-25 therapy sessions per week and maintain documentation through our online record-keeping system. The primary responsibility of our fellows is to provide quality psychotherapy services to clients. In addition to psychotherapy, fellows will be expected to engage in practice building activities such as maintenance of the Wellness 360 website/blog, participate in marketing efforts in the community, attend weekly supervision sessions, and maintain all required documentation of the postdoctoral experience. Clients arrive at our site through established referral sources, online marketing efforts, and through insurances that we accept. Fellows are invited to bring their unique specialties to enhance our practice. Fellows must practice with a multicultural lens, including continuous exploration of their own cultural identities, in order to be a good fit for our practice. Fellows will be supervised by Dr. Mathew, who has many years of experience providing psychotherapy, and specializes in supervision, trauma, multicultural training, and mindfulness training.
