2015 APPIC Match Statistics
Combined Results: Phase I and Phase II

This report provides statistics and information about the combined results for both phases of the 2015 APPIC Match.
Here is a summary of the numbers of applicants and positions in 2015 as compared to the last three APPIC Matches, combining both Phase I and Phase II:

Compared to the 2012 APPIC Match, the 2015 APPIC Match had:
- 188 (-4.2%) fewer registered applicants
- 499 (+15.6%) additional positions, 374 (+15.8%) of which were APA- or CPA-accredited
- 417 (+13.2%) more matched applicants
- 605 (-47.2%) fewer unplaced applicants (includes unmatched and withdrawn applicants)
Regarding the 4,247 students who registered for the 2015 APPIC Match:
- 2,716 (64.0%) matched to an accredited position (compared to 53.3% in 2012)
- 853 (20.1%) matched to a non-accredited position (compared to 17.8% in 2012)
- 678 (16.0%) did not match to a position (includes unmatched and withdrawn applicants) (compared to 28.9% in 2012)

*NOTE: Due to unusual circumstances, three applicants who were matched in Phase I were released from their Match commitments by APPIC, and therefore were eligible to participate in Phase II. When combining results, these applicants and positions were considered to be not matched in Phase I.
