FAQ for Internship Programs Back to FAQ
Question 7. What if an applicant ranks our internship program even though we are no longer interested in them?
A match between a program and an applicant is only possible if: (a) the program includes that applicant on one of its Rank Order Lists, and (b) the applicant includes that program on her/his Rank Order List. Thus, if a program does not include an applicant on at least one of their Rank Order List(s), that applicant will never be matched with that program.
Similarly, there is no benefit for an applicant to rank a program that they didn't apply to, since she/he would never be ranked by that program and thus would not be matched with that program.
