The APPIC Directory INTRODUCTIONThe
APPIC Directory is provided as a service to students, graduate faculty, and training
directors in identifying APPIC-member internship and post-doctoral training programs
that are likely to meet specific training needs. The APPIC Directory is
available in both printed and electronic forms. The printed version of the Directory
is issued once each year (usually in August) and may be purchased directly from
the APPIC Central Office. The electronic version of the Directory (the "APPIC
Directory OnLine") provides more information about each program than does
the printed version of the Directory, and provides a number of search options
that allow users to quickly identify programs of interest. See the Directory
Inclusion Criteria for more information about the programs listed in the APPIC
Directory. APPIC DIRECTORY ONLINE
To access the online version
of the APPIC Directory, click on the "Access the Directory Online" link
in the menu on the right side of this page. Only APPIC-member internship
and post-doctoral training programs are listed in the APPIC Directory. Each program
is required to update its Directory information at least once each year, although
programs may update their information at any time. It is the responsibility of
each individual training program to ensure that the information contained in the
Directory is accurate and up-to-date. The contents of the APPIC Directory OnLine
represent the best efforts of APPIC to provide accurate information, but due to
membership and programmatic changes and the exigencies of reporting, APPIC cannot
assure absolute accuracy at any given time. APPIC is not an accrediting
agency. A listing in the Directory indicates only that a program has declared
itself to be in compliance with APPIC
membership policies. Verification of current APPIC membership status may be
obtained from the APPIC Central Office. The
APA-accreditation status of any program may be verified by contacting the American
Psychological Association. All internship applicants are required to
pay a fee for the Directory OnLine: $20 for students from doctoral programs that
are APPIC subscribers or are members of the Canadian Council of Professional Psychology
Programs, or $50 for students from non-Subscriber programs. This fee is collected
in the Fall, at the time of registration for the APPIC Match (however, applicants
do not have to wait until Match registration to search the Directory, as it is
available for their use at any time). APPIC PRINTED DIRECTORY
Purchasing
the APPIC printed Directory is optional, as all students have unlimited access
to the APPIC Directory OnLine. Applicants who purchase a printed directory will
still be required to pay the appropriate Directory OnLine fee. The 2007-2008
printed version of the APPIC Directory will be mailed August 2007, to all current
APPIC-Member internship and postdoctoral programs and to all APPIC-Subscriber
doctoral programs. Students, faculty, and staff of academic programs that
are APPIC Subscribers may obtain the printed Directory at a reduced price. Students
and faculty / staff of APPIC Subscriber doctoral programs pay $33.00 for copies
of the printed Directory ordered through their academic department by June 1,
or $37.60 for single copy orders. The fee for others is $74.85. All fees for the
APPIC Directories are non-refundable. - Printed Directory Order Form
