Clearinghouses Operated by Other Organizations
The Association of Counseling
Center Training Agencies (ACCTA) operates a post-Match Clearinghouse
that may be used by university and college counseling center internship programs that are current members of ACCTA. The ACCTA Clearinghouse should only be used by applicants who are interested in internship positions that are located in university or college counseling centers. The ACCTA Clearinghouse operates differently than the APPIC Clearinghouse, in that applicants first submit information about themselves, and sites with unfilled positions then review that information and decide if they wish to contact the applicant. Approximately two-thirds of all ACCTA sites are APA-accredited and most are members of APPIC. Some ACCTA members may use both the ACCTA and APPIC Clearinghouses to recruit applicants, while others may choose to use just one.
The Canadian
Council of Professional Psychology Programs (CCPPP) post-Match service is an informal consultation service for students and directors of CCPPP member programs. Students from CCPPP doctoral programs who are not matched
may
contact the Past President of CCPPP after Match Day, if they wish, to see if
CCPPP can provide assistance. Students from other programs should use the APPIC Clearinghouse to look for information about CCPPP internship openings.
If you operate a post-Match Clearinghouse for internships in
professional psychology and would like to have it listed on APPIC's
web site, please contact the APPIC Webmaster.
