The Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation at Kennedy Krieger Institute announces 1-2 openings for our two-year postdoctoral residency in Child Clinical Psychology in Autism and Related Disorders designed to provide supervised experiences in psychological assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment, and to prepare residents to become leaders in the field of autism. Supervised experiences include diagnostic and psychological assessments of children from diverse backgrounds from toddlerhood through late adolescence who present with a question of autism and co-occurring concern for developmental and cognitive delays, ADHD, learning issues, and social-emotional disorders. Intervention experiences include individual, group, and parent training intervention models using behavioral and cognitive-behavioral therapy modalities. Didactics include seminars in key topics related to autism and developmental disabilities, psychological assessment and intervention, professional development in psychology, as well as diversity and equity. Fellows have opportunities for adjunctive training in research, intervention, assessment, and public policy/educational law. Clinical supervision opportunities in Spanish are also available for bilingual fellows through our program's clinic for Latinx and Spanish-speaking families. Training begins September 1, 2025.

- Kennedy Krieger Institute provides individual health insurance benefits. Spouse and family coverage is also available. In addition, fellows are entitled to 15 vacation days a year as well as 8 annual holidays observed by the Institute. Support for travel and professional conferences is also provided. Fellows receive appointments through the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
- Research opportunities
- Fellows have the opportunity to complete a research minor. Fellows pursuing a research minor will work closely with a faculty mentor and have access to a variety of research programs across KKI and Johns Hopkins University.

First applicants should complete the basic demographic, education and transcript requests required of all applicants for all APPA CAS programs. Then they should select Kennedy Krieger Institute – Child Clinical Psychology – Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation. APPA CAS allows applicant to request letters of recommendation electronically which are then uploaded by the letter writer. Note: APPA CAS refers to letters of recommendation as "Evaluations.” The specific requirements for the program are listed below as well as within the APPA CAS system. Applications will be accepted through December 5, 2024. Virtual interviews will be scheduled in early January 2025. Consistent with the APPIC Postdoctoral Selection Standards, an offer will be made at any time following the conclusion of interviews. Applicants can then accept, decline, or hold an offer until 10:00 am EST on the Common Hold Date (February 24, 2025).
