VA Center for Integrated Healthcare- Primary Care Mental Health Integration

Description: Approximately 75% of the fellowship is reserved for research training. At minimum, 25% of the fellowship is protected for dedicated clinical rotations and clinical supervision. Dedicated research time includes collaboration with research mentors on ongoing projects, designing new projects, preparing manuscripts and grants, didactics, and supervision. In addition, a proportion of Fellows' research time may include work on clinical research activities that involve direct service delivery (e.g., work as a clinical interventionist on research studies), and up to 3 hours per week on activities that involve supervision (e.g., supervision of research assistants and/ or practicum students). Biostatistical consultation is available, as are occasional teaching opportunities (e.g., delivering seminars to psychology interns). Dedicated clinical time (usually 1 full day, or two half-days) occurs in an integrated primary care clinic, where Fellows conduct brief evaluations, deliver time-limited interventions, and consult with primary care medical staff. Eligibility Requirements: Prospective applicants must be U.S. Citizens, and have completed doctoral degree requirements from an APA, CPA, or PCSAS-accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology, and an APA, CPA, or PCSAS-accredited pre-doctoral psychology internship.
