Postdoctoral Private Practice Position in New York City
Description: Madison Park Psychological Services (MPPS) invites applications for full-time and part-time post-doctoral positions. Some positions will start around April-May 2019 and others between August and October 2019. MPPS hires throughout the year so if you are looking for a different start date, contact us. MPPS is a thriving multi-cultural group practice, which provides high quality of care to high functioning patients in two beautiful settings, in the Flatiron district and Midtown. We offer a unique opportunity for clinicians to learn how to establish a successful private practice in NYC, while receiving tailored supervision. MPPS offers a family like, collegial and intellectually stimulating environment where clinicians and patients can grow. We are looking for clinicians who are insightful, warm and flexible to tailor their treatments to their patients. Patients present with a wide range of issues, but typically seek treatment for anxiety, depression, adjustment and relationship issues. Clinicians will conduct individual and couple therapy, and if desired, family and group therapies with adults and adolescents. Opportunities to perform psychological testing are also available if desired. Clinicians will learn to effectively use and integrate various therapeutic modalities of treatment (psychodynamic, CBT, DBT) to achieve best therapeutic results. If interested, clinicians have the opportunity to learn about integrative medicine and eastern approaches to well being, and learn how to integrate them to treatment. Clinicians will receive as many hours of individual supervision as needed and attend group supervision and case conference. Supervision is tailored to the supervisees’ needs with the goal of empowering them to find their own voice and identity as clinicians. All positions are salary-based and not fee for service. Salary and benefits are competitive. A unique aspect of the position is the integration of Eastern Medicine. Clinicians have the opportunity to learn about integrative medicine and eastern approaches to well being, and learn how to incorporate them to treatment. Another major benefit to the positions is the quality of the supervision received. Dr. Saad and Dr. Khadivi are the two main supervisors. They are both thought after nationally and internationally by patients for their therapeutic and assessment skills and by students for supervision and teaching. Many of our graduates have themselves opened group practices and have thriving private practices. Other have decided to stay on board with us and take their career to the next level.
