APPIC will be launching a centralized postdoctoral application system-APPA CAS (https://portal.appicpostdoc.org) this year. In addition to providing a beneficial service for postdoctoral applicants and programs, the APPA CAS should serve as a unifying force for postdoctoral training programs. Long-term, APPIC would like to see a more formal unified selection process or match for postdoctoral programs.
Appic's online application process for new applicants and continuing membership. Programs will upload their materials online and can track the progress of their submission. Programs are carefully reviewed by the New Member and Continuing Member Review Committees. Applications for membership and programs that are required to complete a 3 Year Renewal will use this system.
The new DoL was launched July 15, 2013. Members can now pay their dues and match fees online or continue to pay by check. Unaccredited programs are required to be reviewed every 3 years. ALL programs can update their information at any time, but a download is created every September to archive as a PDF. Please contact Central Office if you experience problems (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Academic programs that offer doctoral degrees in psychology may become APPIC Doctoral Program Associates (DPA). The fees paid by DPAs provides substantial benefits to the academic program and its students. DPA programs can pay their fees by calling Central Office or log on to their Directory Page and pay by credit card or invoice. In 2017 all programs that send students to the match MUST be DPA affiliates of APPIC.
