Dr. Nina Levitt, Associate Executive Director for the APA Education Government Relations Office, and Sheila Lane Forsyth, Education Advocacy Consultant, will conduct this 1 ½ hour advocacy presentation. Using current Education Advocacy legislative initiatives, such as the Higher Education Act and the Graduate Psychology Education Program, Levitt and Forsyth will highlight recent successes and challenges in gaining federal support (funding) for psychology education and training. The session will also emphasize the critical need for training directors to participate in newly expanded grassroots activities to gain federal support for psychology.

from all internship and postdoc programs that are interested in the
nominations process. The new 32 member Commission on Accreditation (CoA) will include 6 seats for Internship (5) and Postdoc (1). Three of these seats will be nominated by APPIC and two additional internship and 1 postdoc seats will be nominated through this new process.
